Introduction

Welcome to the 2nd Chance Citizens Urban SEAL Lifestyle Training Program. This initiative is designed to provide a comprehensive, structured, and supportive environment for individuals with a history of being difficult to manage, incarceration, bipolar emotional disorders, and emotional dissonance.


Goal

Our goal is to foster personal growth, stability, and community reintegration through the ARC of Compliance Urban SEAL Lifestyle Training. By emphasizing Accountability, Reinforcement, Compassion, and Compliance, we aim to instill a sense of purpose, discipline, and direction in our participants.


Mission

Our mission is to empower 2nd Chance Citizens by providing them with the tools, skills, and support necessary to lead fulfilling, productive, and law-abiding lives. Through our innovative training program, we strive to cultivate self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and resilience, enabling participants to overcome their past challenges and build a brighter future.


Vision

We envision a society where 2nd Chance Citizens are not only reintegrated but also valued and respected members of their communities. By fostering a culture of understanding, support, and growth, we aim to reduce recidivism, promote mental wellness, and enhance the overall quality of life for our participants and their communities.

Orientation and Assessment

  • Initial assessment of individual needs, strengths, and challenges.

  • Introduction to the ARC of Compliance principles and Urban SEAL Lifestyle Training.


Foundational Training Modules

Accountability (Do No Harm)

  1. Understanding personal responsibility.

  2. Building trust and reliability.

  3. Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.

Reinforcement (Do Unto Others)

  1. Developing empathy and compassion.

  2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  3. Building healthy relationships and support networks.

Compassion (Act of Kindness)

  1. Self-care and mental health management.

  2. Acts of kindness and community service.

  3. Emotional regulation and stress management techniques.

Compliance (Respect with Accountability)

  1. Understanding legal and societal expectations.

  2. Developing a structured daily routine.

  3. Goal setting and personal development planning.

Urban SEAL Lifestyle Training

  1. Physical fitness and wellness programs.

  2. Team-building exercises and leadership development.

  3. Practical life skills and vocational training.

Ongoing Support and Mentorship

  1. Regular check-ins and progress assessments.

  2. Peer support groups and mentorship programs.

  3. Access to mental health resources and counseling.


Thinking for a Change (T4C) Model Integration

Decision Science Model: Thinking Check-In

To incorporate the "Thinking for a Change" 3rd Edition model into our training, we have developed the Urban SEAL Lifestyle Training "Thinking Check-In" process. This process will help participants reflect on their actions and decisions through a structured framework, ensuring they align with Good Orderly Direction principles.

S - Situational (Response)

  1. Identify the Situation: Describe the current situation you are facing. What happened? Who was involved? What are the facts and circumstances?

  2. Analyze the Context: Understand the broader context of the situation. How did it arise? What are the underlying issues?

  3. Evaluate the Impact: Assess the potential or actual impact of the situation on yourself and others.


E - Emotional (Response)

  1. Recognize Your Emotions: Identify the emotions you are experiencing in response to the situation. Are you feeling angry, frustrated, anxious, or something else?

  2. Understand Emotional Triggers: Reflect on what triggered these emotions. Are there past experiences or specific actions that influenced your emotional response?

  3. Manage Emotions: E = I / e


A - Actionable (Response)

  1. Identify Actions Taken: Outline the actions you have taken or plan to take in response to the situation. What steps have you taken to address it?

  2. Evaluate Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of your actions. Did they resolve the situation? Did they lead to positive outcomes?

  3. Plan Future Actions: Develop a plan for future actions. What could you do differently next time? How can you improve your response?


L - Leadership (Response)

  1. Reflect on Leadership: Consider how your actions demonstrate leadership qualities. Are you taking responsibility? Are you setting a positive example?

  2. Promote Accountability: Ensure that your actions align with the principles of accountability. Are you owning your mistakes and learning from them?

  3. Inspire Others: Think about how your behavior can inspire and motivate others. Are you leading with integrity, empathy, and respect?

  1. Self-Assessment: Regularly evaluate your actions and decisions. Are you taking responsibility for your behavior?

Reinforcement (Do Unto Others)

  1. Empathy and Understanding: Practice empathy in all interactions. Understand the perspectives and feelings of others.

  2. Positive Reinforcement: Encourage positive behavior in yourself and others. Celebrate successes and progress.

  3. Supportive Environment: Create an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.


Compassion (Act of Kindness)

  1. Self-Compassion: Practice self-care and self-compassion. Treat yourself with kindness and understanding.

  2. Acts of Kindness: Engage in acts of kindness towards others. Volunteer, offer support, and contribute to the community.

  3. Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to others. Be a listening ear and offer help when needed.


Compliance (Respect with Accountability)
